Tidewatertutors.com (hereinafter referred to as the 'site'), the services provided (hereinafter referred to as the 'services'), and any or all software downloads available from Tidewatertutors.com are bound by the terms found herein. By using the site or the services, downloading or installing the software, or otherwise accessing the site, services, or downloads, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below (‘terms’). If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you may not access, install, download or otherwise use the site, the services, or the software. If someone else (guardians, parents, etc.) is paying for your tutoring services or homework help, they are also bound by these terms of use, and you are required to print this page and give it to them. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms at any time, either with or without your knowledge. Any modifications become effective as soon as they are posted to the site, and you should periodically review the terms for any changes. Continuing to use the site after such modifications have been posted, will constitute your agreement to and acceptance of the modifications.

The Services We Offer

The services we offer include local in home tutoring, online tutoring, online help with homework and test preparation assistance. Tutors and students connect with one another based on the needs of the students and the skills of the tutor. Tutors provide live, one-on-one assistance, tutoring, and teaching services through our website. Our tutors are highly qualified teachers and professionals that have been carefully selected to meet the needs of our students and provide personalized tutoring assistance.

You are responsible for maintaining the required services on your end in order to utilize our site. This can include:


  • The latest version of one of the supported web browsers:
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • Google Chrome
    • Apple Safari
    • Internet Explorer
  • Broadband Internet connection.
  • Pop-up blockers should be disabled.
  • To effectively use our Whiteboard technology you will need:
    • Java Runtime Environment (for screen sharing).
    • Adobe Flash (for sound).
    • Speakers (or headphones) along with microphone. Alternatively, you can use a headset.

Our service is available on a TBA (to be arranged) basis, and there may be times when the site is down for periodic maintenance.

Registration Obligations

To use the site and the services, you will need to register on the site and provide true, accurate, and complete information, pay any applicable fees, and obtain an account, password and username. Tidewater TutorsEduboard is not to be held liable for any mistakes, defamation, slander, omissions, pornography, profanity, malware or age restriction requirements contained therein.

No forms of implicit or explicit advertising of third party educational or other resources, external website content are allowed at Tidewater Tutors.

Refund Policy

We can consider your refund requests and we do our best to assist you. We reserve the right to reject your refund request if you do not provide a satisfactory explanation of why you qualify for a refund.

You can solve this problem together with the tutor. If you cannot reach a mutual agreement with the other party, write to the arbiter. It can take the arbiter up to 5 business days to process a dispute.

Refunds are only given if a tutor cancels a scheduled session.

  • Processing of Refund
    Right after the resolution, the refund will be sent to your PayPal account.
